There are many things to do in Florence and its surrounding areas, which makes it the perfect destination when you’re looking to get away.

Florence lies within the Tuscan region, which is one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Mostly because of the historical significance, but there are rolling hills and valleys that seem to go on forever. There are olive groves and wine vineyards outside of the city and much of that wine you can taste in the many restaurants that are inside of Florence. You can also get a good taste of the great cuisine that uses olive oil as the main ingredient.

And as you’re checking out the scenery and you are enjoying the wine and the great food, you’ll notice that the city is like a museum itself. So you have to make sure you leave yourself enough time to explore the entire city and hire a car so that you can drive the countryside and check out areas outside of the city. The coast makes for a great place to explore. You can go to the Chianti region, which can be found between Florence and Sienna. This is a great part of the Tuscan region and is the best place for a wine tour because there are some great vineyards in Chianti.

You can stop here as you make your way to the coastline so that you can enjoy the beaches. The beaches are absolutely amazing, the water is clear and the water’s temperature is perfect. There are also small charming villages and ports and bays that make the coastline have its own personality.

So if you get tired of the city experience and you’re looking for some more peace and quiet, remember that you have the countryside and the beaches to enjoy. And you can always enjoy the city whenever you want.
